The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will close the NEET PG 2026 application correction window on 28 July.

Candidates who have already submitted their forms can make permitted changes through the official website, natboard.edu.in.

This is the final opportunity to correct details such as personal information, academic particulars and uploaded documents wherever editing is allowed.

Once the window closes, no further general corrections will be accepted.

Admit card and exam schedule

NBEMS has released the following schedule for NEET PG 2026:

  • Correction window: 25-28 July
  • Image correction window: 31 July-10 August
  • City intimation slip: 11 August
  • Admit card release: 27 August
  • Examination date: 30 August
  • Result declaration: 30 September

Candidates are advised to download and verify their admit cards as soon as they are released.

What candidates should check

Before the deadline, applicants should ensure that their:

  • Name and date of birth match official records,
  • MBBS details are correct,
  • Internship information is accurate,
  • Photograph, signature and thumb impression meet NBEMS specifications,
  • Contact details are active.

Incorrect information may lead to problems during admit card verification or counselling.

Why NEET PG remains a sensitive exam

NEET PG is the entrance examination for MD, MS and PG Diploma courses across India and is one of the country’s most competitive medical examinations.

Any change in its schedule or conduct often affects lakhs of medical graduates.

Protests over exam conduct

The examination has witnessed repeated protests in recent years.

  • In 2021, doctors and medical aspirants held demonstrations demanding the completion of counselling and timely admission processes.
  • Resident doctors across several states also protested over delays in postgraduate admissions.

In 2024, concerns over examination integrity intensified after the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.

  • Although NEET PG was not directly linked to that case, candidates demanded stronger security measures, transparency and clear communication.
  • Social media campaigns and student groups repeatedly called for a fair and predictable examination process.

Delay and rescheduling concerns

  • NEET PG 2024 was postponed at short notice before being conducted later under enhanced security arrangements.
  • The postponement triggered criticism from candidates who had already travelled to examination cities and incurred expenses.
  • Since then, aspirants have remained particularly alert to any announcement regarding exam dates, admit cards or correction windows.

Focus now shifts to admit cards

With the correction window ending today, the immediate focus for candidates will be the release of the city intimation slip on 11 August and the admit card on 27 August.

NBEMS has advised applicants to regularly check the official website for updates and avoid relying on unofficial messages circulating on social media.
