The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the objection window for the NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key today, 15 July.
Candidates who find discrepancies in the answer key can submit objections through the official NEET portal before the deadline, after paying the prescribed fee.
How to raise objections
Candidates must log in using their application number and password, select the question(s) they wish to challenge, upload supporting documents if required, and pay the non-refundable processing fee online.
NTA will not accept objections submitted after the deadline.
What happens next?
The NTA will review all objections before releasing the final answer key.
The NEET UG 2026 result will be prepared and declared on the basis of this final answer key, and no further challenges will be entertained after it is published.
Why this year’s answer key is under scrutiny
This year’s NEET process comes after one of the biggest controversies in the exam’s history.
- The original NEET UG 2026 examination, held on 3 May, was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak linked to a “guess paper” circulated in Rajasthan.
- A nationwide re-examination was conducted on 21 June, making the answer key review especially significant for over 20 lakh candidates awaiting their results.
- The NTA has said the objection process is intended to improve transparency before the final merit list is published.
