National Award winner and Padma Shri awardee singer Anuradha Paudwal has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government. She says that people talk about becoming a ‘Vishwa Guru,’ but currently, 93,000 schools are shut down in India.
Anuradha Paudwal recently said in Shubhankhar Mishra’s podcast, ‘A few years ago, I strongly felt that we would become a Vishwaguru, but now I see that things contradicting the idea of a Vishwa Guru are happening more often. How will we become a Vishwa Guru? Either we stop talking about ‘Vishwaguru, Vishwaguru’, or we stop all this nonsense.’
‘Weren’t we supposed to become educated? I don’t understand why we want to become educated, but 93,000 schools are closed in our country. So what is the base of a ‘Vishwaguru’? You can’t walk on dreams. You will have to do something, won’t you?’
Further, the singer said, ‘They talk about Ram Rajya, but here the temple itself was robbed. I want to say that I am not against ‘Vishwa Guru’, but what are the things associated with it? Send a list of those things, so that we can follow them.’
