A delivery agent from Flipkart in Bengaluru has been arrested on charges of committing an obscene act with a woman. The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat. A case has been registered at Marathahalli police station based on the woman’s complaint.
The woman stated that the delivery agent had come to her house to deliver a parcel. He asked for permission to use the washroom, but the woman refused several times. She also told him that he could seek help from a neighbor.
Despite this, the accused forcibly entered the flat after removing his shoes and slippers. The woman alleges that after coming out of the washroom, the accused’s pant zipper was open. He exposed his private parts and committed an obscene act.

According to the woman, she was badly shaken after the incident. She said in a video message – I was feeling unsafe and humiliated in my own home. I had clearly refused. He should have stopped right there. No one has the right to enter a woman’s home against her will or ignore what she says.
The woman said that out of fear, she turned on her mobile camera and kept the house door open, so that if needed, she could go out and ask for help. After the woman’s social media post, Bengaluru police took cognizance of the matter.
After investigation, the police arrested the accused. A case has been registered against him under sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police say that the investigation of the case is ongoing.
