Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will hold a major Congress organisational meeting in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday. According to party sources, he will meet the state’s 74 district presidents at 10:30 am.
He will also address the district presidents through a presentation and prepare a roadmap for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The main focus of the meeting will be to strengthen the party organisation at the booth level and connect workers more effectively.
After the meeting, Rahul Gandhi will hold separate discussions with the state’s MPs, MLAs, former MLAs and former election candidates.
No program to meet CM Vijay
Tamil Nadu Congress in-charge and General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir said the Sangathan Srijan campaign aims to create awareness among workers at the booth level, take the Congress ideology to the people, and build a strong organisational structure at every booth.
Mir also clarified that Rahul Gandhi has no programme to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay during his visit.
