In the sticky heat and humid weather where even walking for long becomes difficult. In such weather, the Railway Group-D PET examination’s physical test was organized at DSA Ground in Prayagraj from 25th to 28th July. Due to this test, 1,032 candidates failed. The physical test that continued for five days proved to be tough for the candidates.
Weather increased the trouble
During the PET, due to humidity and heat, many candidates fell ill. After completing the 1,000 meter race, many candidates sat down or lay down on the field itself. However, in the test of lifting 35 kilograms weight and walking 100 meters, most male candidates achieved success. According to railway officials, the race remained the toughest step of the selection process.
Pregnant woman will get opportunity after delivery
During this time, a pregnant woman candidate from Bihar also came to take the PET. After being proven pregnant in the health checkup, railway officials did not allow her to participate in the exam for safety reasons.
According to railway rules, pregnant women are given an opportunity to participate in the PET again six months after delivery. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 32,438 Group-D posts will be filled in the railways.
What will be the next process?
Candidates who succeed in the physical test will be called for document verification. After that, there will be a medical test.
