State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for its Special Recruitment Drive 2026 for Clerk (Junior Associate) posts, and the application process is now open.
A total of 1,538 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
The vacancies have been announced to clear backlog positions reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates.
Applications can be submitted online from 7 August to 27 August 2026.
The recruitment is for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in SBI’s clerical cadre. Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised university and meet the prescribed age criteria. The selection process will include an online examination and a local language test.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduation Degree
- This degree must be obtained by 31st December 2026.
- Students studying in final year or final semester can also apply. But they will have to submit proof of passing the examination by 31st December 2026.
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 28 years
- OBC: 3 years relaxation
- SC, ST: 5 years relaxation
- Divyang (Disabled): 10 years relaxation
Fees:
- General, OBC: Rs 750
- SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Serviceman, DXS: Free
Salary:
Rs 24,050 – 64,480 per month

- Prelims Exam
- Mains Exam
- Local Language Proficiency Test
Exam Pattern:
In Prelims and Mains Exam, there will be negative marking of 1/4 mark for every wrong answer.
