The accident happened around 8 AM on Friday morning on Amdura-Punegaon Road.
A government school teacher from Nanded district in Maharashtra and his two children died after their car fell into the Godavari River.
According to the initial police investigation, the incident appears to be a case of suicide. Police said the teacher had posted a WhatsApp status a day earlier, claiming he was being forced to take his own life.
A note was also found on the teacher’s laptop in which he allegedly accused some of his senior officials of mentally harassing him. Police have seized the laptop and begun investigating the matter.

Sunil More (42) was a teacher at Pota Budruk Zilla Parishad School in Himayatnagar.

After about 3 hours of search operation, the bodies of all three were recovered.
Harassment allegations under investigation
According to Nanded Police, Sunil More (42) was a teacher at Pota Budruk Zilla Parishad School in Himayatnagar. His wife also works at the same school.
At around 8 am on Friday, Sunil left home with his daughter Sari (12) and son Sumit (8) in a car and reached the Amdura-Punegaon Road.
While crossing a bridge over the Godavari River, the car crashed through the side railing and plunged into the river. Passersby alerted the police and fire brigade, but the vehicle had already submerged, and all three died.
Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the local police carried out a rescue operation lasting about three hours before recovering the car and the bodies.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the allegations of mental harassment made by Sunil against his senior officials.
