Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters faced difficulties in dousing the flames because of the highly inflammable materials stored at the site. Following the explosion, unexploded firecrackers and fragments of explosive materials were found scattered across nearby roads, prompting authorities to cordon off the area.
Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the blast was caused solely by the seized firecrackers or if any other factor contributed to the explosion. Further details are awaited.
