Expressing solidarity with the ‘Chalo Sansad’ (Parliament March) in Delhi, students of Aliah University staged a protest at Park Circus in Kolkata on Thursday.

The protesters strongly condemned the alleged police action against demonstrators in the national capital, including the reported crackdown on peaceful protesters and the detention of environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk. They also alleged that several students and youth were injured during the police action.

Protesters condemn alleged police action in Delhi
During the demonstration, the students raised concerns over the NEET-2026 paper leak, alleging that it was the latest in a series of examination irregularities that have undermined the credibility of the country’s recruitment and entrance examination system.
The NEET-2026 paper leak is another example of the failure to conduct fair and transparent examinations. Repeated paper leaks and irregularities have affected the future of lakhs of students across the country,

protesters alleged.
The students also criticised the police action against demonstrators in Delhi, claiming that peaceful protests were met with force instead of dialogue.

Peaceful protest held under police security
The protest remained peaceful, with students raising slogans and demanding accountability over examination irregularities and protection of democratic rights. Police were deployed at the venue to maintain law and order.
