Candidates for the 2022 Gram Panchayat Adhikari (Village Panchayat Officer) recruitment staged a protest in Lucknow at 9 am on Tuesday, forming a human chain outside the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. Candidates from several districts took part, demanding the immediate release of the long-awaited final results.
Protesting candidate Raghavendra Singh said applications for the 2022 recruitment advertisement were accepted in 2023, and all stages of the selection process, including the written examination and document verification, have already been completed. However, the final results are still pending.
The candidates questioned the delay, saying that if all recruitment formalities have been completed, there is no reason to withhold the results. Through the Deputy Chief Minister, they urged the recruitment commission to announce the final results at the earliest.

Vacancy came in 2022
Candidate Raghavendra Singh said that the vacancy came in 2022 through PET. The recruitment process for 1,468 posts of Gram Panchayat Officer started in 2023. Thousands of candidates applied for the recruitment.
The written examination was also held on 27 April, 2025. The document verification process for eligible candidates was completed by April-May. Still, the final results have not been declared yet. Candidates are upset due to the delay in the results.
‘Result not out even after process completion’
Raghavendra said,
Even after completing all the processes, the final result has not been released yet. This has created an employment crisis and challenges for livelihood for thousands of candidates. If the recruitment process had been completed on time, today we would have become the support for our families. Hundreds of such candidates always struggle even for two square meals a day. The government should complete this recruitment process as soon as possible.
