Fresh allegations have emerged over the integrity of the Re-NEET 2026 examination, with Gujarat-based student activist Shubham Thaker filing a formal complaint, alleging that the question paper may have been compromised before the examination.
Thaker has written to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Director General of Police (Gujarat), and the Union Ministry of Education, calling for an independent digital forensic investigation into the available electronic evidence.

According to Thaker, two independent sources shared digital material allegedly linked to the examination before it was conducted.
In the first instance, on 19 July, an informer allegedly sent a password-protected PDF claiming it contained the Re-NEET 2026 paper and identified an ‘Anurag Sir’ as the operator of a Telegram channel where the paper was circulated.
He claimed the alleged network could indicate serious lapses affecting the Re-NEET process nationwide.
Similarities with official paper
After the examination, Thaker said he compared the PDF with the official Re-NEET 2026 Paper Code 80 (Sushrut) and found an estimated 80% similarity. He alleged that nearly 600 marks worth of questions matched the official paper, with the sequence of questions and answer options also largely identical.
Another source provided Thaker an alleged video showing a password-protected PDF containing handwritten questions that, according to the complaint, appeared to have been available before the exam.
Leaked paper PDF sent
Thaker’s preliminary comparison reportedly found similarities of 40 out of 45 Physics questions, four out of 45 Chemistry questions and 16 out of 90 Biology questions, amounting to around 240 marks allegedly matching the official paper.
Demands for independent probe
The complaint seeks immediate preservation of all digital evidence, forensic examination of the PDFs, videos and metadata, investigation into linked WhatsApp, Telegram and social media accounts, recovery of deleted data, identification of those involved, and a time-bound independent probe.
