Rivers are overflowing, and roads are submerged in several districts of Gujarat. So far, more than 40,500 people have been moved to safe places. Five people have also died in rain-related accidents. All schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centers in Ahmedabad will remain closed on July 24 and 25.
In UP, the situation has started to worsen due to continuous rain for 15 days. More than 10 rivers, including the Ganga-Yamuna, are in spate. 4 rivers are flowing above the danger mark. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for 30 districts on Saturday.
In Himachal Pradesh, 121 roads have been closed in the state due to continuous rain, landslides, and flash floods. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain at several places between July 27 and 29.
Several parts of Assam are still submerged due to floods. Officials said that 11 districts have been affected by floods. More than 7.21 lakh people have been affected by this. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 47.
Relief and rescue operations have been intensified amidst continuous heavy rain and landslides in Nagaland. On Friday, more than 180 stranded people were airlifted to safety. Relief materials are also being delivered to the affected areas.

- No warning has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
- There is an alert for lightning with thunder in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, and Karnataka.
- Strong winds may blow in Karnataka, Telangana, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
