The delayed monsoon arrival in Madhya Pradesh has weakened within a few days. Clouds have disappeared from most parts of the state. However, the Meteorological Department believes that the monsoon may pick up speed in Madhya Pradesh and western Uttar Pradesh in the second half of July and that heavy rains may occur from July 19th due to a western disturbance and a cyclonic system.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Kishanganj, Katihar, West Champaran, and Araria in Bihar on July 17. Meanwhile, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for five districts of Uttarakhand: Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Champawat, and Bageshwar on Friday.
Weak monsoon conditions are currently expected to persist over Rajasthan for the next 3–4 days. Rainfall activity is expected to increase over Kota, Bharatpur, and Jaipur divisions of eastern Rajasthan from July 21st.
The flood and landslide situation in Arunachal Pradesh remains critical due to continuous rainfall. New incidents of flooding and landslides have been reported in East Kameng, Upper Subansiri, Upper Siang, Kamle, and Kra Daadi districts in the past 24 hours. Seven people have died, 29 have been injured, and 103,860 have been affected in the state so far.

There is an orange alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms and storms in Odisha-Bengal.
Light rain is likely over Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
There will be heavy rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur.
July 19:
A heavy rain and storm warning has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim.
There is a yellow alert in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, and Odisha.
Light rain is expected in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
There is an orange alert for rain in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir.
