A young woman from Punjab’s Tarn Taran was murdered in England after being stabbed five times in the abdomen. She had moved to the UK around two years ago on a student visa to pursue higher education. After completing her studies, she obtained a work permit and was working there.
Following the murder, a video of the accused has surfaced, showing him carrying a knife. The footage was captured by a CCTV camera installed at the gate of the house.
The victim’s parents had even sold their land to fund her education in England, hoping she would secure a better future through higher studies and a good job abroad.
The incident has left the family and the entire village in mourning. Meanwhile, British police have identified and arrested the accused. According to reports, the suspect had reached the woman’s house while trying to evade the police.

The young woman was identified as Kirandeep Kaur (24). About two years ago, she had gone to England on a student visa for higher education. Attacked with sharp weapon while sleeping in room
According to family members, Kirandeep was sleeping in her room on Sunday morning. During this time, an unknown attacker entered the room and started beating her. After this, he took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed her 5 times in quick succession. Due to severe injuries, Kirandeep died on the spot. A video of the accused has also surfaced, in which he is seen leaving the house with a knife.
Police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem
As soon as information about the incident was received, local police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem, and registered a murder case and started investigation. The reasons for the murder could not be clarified in the initial investigation. Appealed to bring mortal remains to India
Father Sukhdev Singh and mother Baljit Kaur have appealed to the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to arrange for their daughter’s mortal remains to be brought to India soon, so that her last rites can be performed in her ancestral village. The family has also sought help from the administration in this regard.

Brother says attacker entered sister’s house after stabbing another man
Kirandeep Kaur’s brother, Gurvinder Singh, said that on Monday, a British man allegedly got into an altercation with another person and stabbed him before fleeing the scene. He later entered Kirandeep’s house to hide. As soon as he saw Kirandeep, he attacked her, stabbing her in the abdomen and chest.
UK police arrest accused
According to UK police, the accused, Daniel Sean James (44), has been arrested on charges of murdering Kirandeep Kaur and possessing a bladed weapon. Police said he entered Kirandeep’s home on Uxbridge Road in London after allegedly injuring a 20-year-old man earlier. He has been produced before a court and remanded in custody.
