DU CSAS Phase II Deadline Tonight

Delhi University will close the Phase II window of its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) at 11:59 PM today, July 11, bringing an end to the college and course preference-filling process for undergraduate admissions.

The deadline marks a key stage in one of India’s largest university admission exercises, with nearly 1.9 lakh students in the race for seats across DU colleges.

How candidates got here

The process began with Phase I, DU’s registration stage, where students who had appeared for CUET UG 2026 signed up on the university’s admission portal, verified their personal details, uploaded documents, and paid a one-time, non-refundable registration fee:

  • ₹250 for General, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates
  • ₹100 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates

That groundwork set the stage for Phase II, the preference-filling stage now drawing to a close, where candidates rank their choice of colleges and courses ahead of seat allocation

What comes next

With the preference window closing tonight, the admission calendar moves quickly from here:

July 12: Simulated ranks go live on the DU CSAS Portal, giving every applicant a preview of where they stand relative to the competition.

July 12–13 (till 4:59 PM): A short but crucial preference-change window opens, letting candidates reshuffle their choices in light of their simulated rank.

July 16: DU will declare its first seat allocation list — the moment thousands of students have been waiting for.

For many of the 1.9 lakh registrants, the next five days will be a balancing act: reading the simulated rank correctly, deciding whether to reorder preferences, and hoping their choices align with a seat when the first list drops on July 16.
